What’s been happening:

As a professional costume designer since graduating Yale School of Drama with an MFA, I've had the privilege of working steadily, designing primarily in theatre and opera, creating costumes for some extraordinary actors and directors. I've served at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts as Master Teacher of Costume Design for some 30 years, and hold an unspoken record in the U.S. for successful students. In 2008-09 I co-curated an exhibit for the N.Y. Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center: CURTAIN CALL - Celebrating a Century of Women Designing for Live Performance. (A profusely illustrated over 100 page catalog is available.) In 2011, USITT and Broadway Press will be publishing a full monograph on my design work & career. Additionally, I designed uniforms & special events for The Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center and for Windows on the World, Bldg. #1, World Trade Center, working under the aegis of the great restauranteur Joseph Baum for 12 years. Most recently I have written a play based on published, PushCart-nominated short stories by my husband which will be given its first professional reading at a theatre in NYC devoted, for the past 15 years, to the development of new American plays. Recently, in major cities throughout the country, at Christmas time, you may catch my Drama Desk-nominated costumes for the new musical "White Christmas based on the 50s film.
